In the elections for the president of the United States, he was elected Donald Trump. This man's philosophy with the environment and climate change is dire. For Donald Trump, climate change is an invention of the Chinese to gain competitiveness. That is why the Paris Agreement by the US is in danger.
In an interview with Trump, he spoke about climate change, denying his possible conflicts of interest and continued to attack the mainstream media. He attended a Times interview, in which Trump expressed his rejection of a far-right movement known as the "alt-right." He also said that he had an open mind to be able to leave the Paris Agreement.
Among the questions they asked the US president was whether Trump would be willing to abandon the Paris Agreement against climate change. His answer was that is considering withdrawing to the United States of international agreements. However, he did not take it for granted, therefore there is still a chance that it will not be the case.
In addition to that, he touched on some foreign policy issues such as the issue of the war in Syria on which he aimed to have a different position with the rest of the world. He would like to be the one to achieve peace between Israel and the Palestinians. Before starting the round of questions, Trump criticized the newspaper that was interviewing him arguing that they are very unfair in the coverage of his electoral campaign.
At no point during his interview has he had any qualms about maintaining an aggressive tone about the media as well as accusing them of being corrupt and dishonest. In fact, this interview was about to be canceled because Trump announced its cancellation arguing that the newspaper wanted to change the conditions, something that the Times denied.
