The Nordic countries tend to stand out for their originality and creativity in design which has made them famous in this regard throughout the world. It is one of the great qualities of the inhabitants of these countries.
The electrical towers that swarm throughout the territory of a country are presented as cold, mammoth giants with an industrial shape which is not harmonious with the environment where they are located. Iceland is a country that is outside the norm in this sense and its electricity towers carry a special design that allows them to better integrate with the landscape that surrounds them.
Choi + Shine is architectural firm in charge of creating these special designs that can become monuments within what is a landscape. They can be configured to adapt to the environment with different gestures according to the needs of the place.
These designs appeared in a competition in March 2008, with bases to obtain new ideas for this type of structure. The main objective was that a new type of electrical tower had the least impact on the environment, the electromagnetic field and the cost.
The idea of this architectural firm is that one of these human-shaped towers can be modified to use in it all the gestures you want so that it adapts better to the area, either by raising your arms as much as if you want it to be crouched. All this without involving an extra cost as if it were the same Lego piece that has enough pieces to create the different compositions.
An incredible proposal that is already in a real form in Iceland and that should be taken to more countries such as ours. How about some electricity towers as if they were a bull?
