The growth of Renewable Energy in Poland

In 2011, the consumption of energy from renewable sources in Poland was 8,8% of which 56% was the energy produced by biomass despite the fact that the largest installed power in Poland belongs to the wind power e hydroelectric.

This ever-increasing use of renewable energy and the greater interest in the participation of renewable energies in the final consumption of energy in various sectors in Poland is given not only by the EU directives that oblige Poland to reach the participation of renewable energies up to 15% in consumption end of energy in 2020, but for the protection of the environment and the commitment to new alternative energy sources.

This has shown great interest to many companies from other countries, such as Spain, who are interested in the Renewable Energy sector in Poland. For all these reasons, this year you will be able to get to know closely at the seminar organized by the Department of Trade and Investment Promotion, the Polish Renewable Energy Association (SEO), APPA and the Polish Agency for Business Development (PARP), which will focus on analyze the renewable energy sector in Poland, on February 29, the day that the Expoenergética Fair 2012, in the Joaquín Rodrigo Room on the Mall level of the Fair.

The event offers the possibility to learn about the current situation of the renewable energy sector in the Polish market, its development in recent years and the new objectives of the Polish government in this sector within the Polish economy. The New government regulations aim to create competitiveness in the market, guarantee the supply of energy, raise the level of effectiveness, guarantee the profitability of energy companies, modernize the technical infrastructure and regulate the price of energy in Poland.
