Have your own organic garden at home and control over food

The organic gardens at home or also called urban gardens are very useful and have many benefits. With them you can obtain quality products following the basic principles of organic farming and you can get them on a simple terrace or garden at home. Planting your own food in an organic garden is a practice that is being carried out more and more and is spreading, especially for people who want to have a better control over food that eats.

To be able to grow food in an organic garden, you just have to take into account some conditioning variables such as the type of land in which it is planted, the solar radiation that reaches your plot or terrace, the degree of soil moisture and adapt the type of seed at each time of the year. In order to avoid some type of plague in crops, there are natural remedies to combat them in a process called bioremediation.

Carlos Bald, a businessman fan of organic farming, along with his partner Juanjo Sanchez have created an initiation project to cultivation focused on both children and adults called "The Seed Box". This project heads three different models for working in organic farming. One is in the garden, another in the garden and another on the terrace.

Previously, an urban garden was an area that was not cultivated and from which the city council asked you for a rent so you could take advantage of that land and be self-sufficient. Nowadays any space is valid to obtain quality products simply by following the basic principles of organic farming.

According to Calvo, the Seed Box also teaches both children and adults to create that special bond with the earth:

"We are motivated by being able to create emotional bonds between people and nature and to transmit the illusion that we have", he pointed out, and, "although we do not provide an advice service itself, we do like to resolve any type of doubt or curiosity ".

That is why the Seed Box is working on special kits for children and materials for the elderly with the aim of expanding this initiative of urban gardens and reminds all who practice it that a good organic farmer does not use any chemicals since everything has a natural remedy.
