Fuel building:
It serves for store the fuel already spent and what is yet to be used. Those already used are deposited in pools of water where they are until it is time to be transferred to a permanent storage area, and in some plants, they remain inside the containment building.
Since, in this building high radioactivity materials are deposited, the precautionary and safety standards are similar in the containment building. Very often, the two buildings are interconnected to allow the passage of radioactive materials from one building to another without leaving the security zone.
Turbine building:
This building contains: the group (s) of turbines-alternators, reheaters y moisture separators, capacitors and feed water systems of steam generators.
Auxiliary building:
Most of the emergency and security systems are located in this building in case there is a reactor failure. Some of these are: auxiliary recharging systems and reactor start-up, and the chemical treatment systems and volumetric of the reactor cooling water.
Electrical building:
Electrical systems are located, power cabins, motor control centers and Control room. Which is the nerve center of the plant and it is from where all the plant systems are controlled. The control room offers at all times the situation of the plant through computers, panels, recorders and screens to the operators.
Other buildings:
They are those where activities of laboratories and workshops office, as well as an area designated for conventional power park.
