A new catalyst
The device has been developed by an environmental consultancy in Spain that improves the combustion of motor vehicles. The company is called O3 Protect it and is a specialist in the development of comparative analyzes in the control of polluting gas emissions into the atmosphere. He is always looking to improve the combustion of all types of engines, both diesel and gasoline.
Thanks to this catalyst, it is possible to reduce CO20 emissions from diesel vehicles by up to 2% and nitrogen oxides (NOX) by 15-20%. Pollutant particles of size 2,5mm are very harmful to health and this device is capable of reducing these particles by up to 80%.
This is achieved thanks to the fact that when unburned fuel remains in gasoline engines, the catalyst is able to dissolve the fuel remains almost completely. This reduces the level of carbon monoxide that is expelled from the exhaust pipe by half.
In addition, this new device consists of an aluminum cylinder installed in the fuel supply tube that, inside, houses a reactive mixture of minerals which allows the improvement of fuel combustion or explosion.
Combustion improvements
As the fuel passes through the catalyst it comes into contact with the reactant and removes the static electricity from the hydrocarbon. When this occurs in a chemical reaction, the catalysis process is accelerated, so less energy is required for it to occur.
Therefore, you get a fuel for cleaner and more efficient combustion with almost 95% fuel efficiency, which leads to a reduction in polluting emissions.
This device is not only capable of improving combustion and reducing emissions, but by burning more fuel during the process, it gives more power to the vehicle's engine.
This catalyst can be installed in any engine that uses fuel, be it motorcycles, cars, vans, buses, trucks, etc. In addition to being able to be used in equipment in industrial sectors such as those dedicated to the extraction of liquids, irrigation, burners and cranes.
Air quality improvements
Air pollution is a problem that increasingly affects Spanish populations, given that the population is continuously growing. In the urban centers of large cities, a large number of vehicles accumulate that are emitting gases into the atmosphere.
Given the advantages offered by this device is to extend the useful life of old vehicles, since, by reducing polluting gas emissions, they can again obtain permits to circulate through the center of Madrid (for example), or pass the ITV.
The development of this catalyst contributes to Air Quality Plan A approved by the municipal government of Madrid last September, which includes among its measures the renewal of the current circulating fleet of vehicles, with the progressive replacement of motorized vehicles.
Among the objectives of this Air Quality Plan we find that of limiting circulation throughout the municipality by 2025 for all those vehicles that pollute the most. This will lead to a complication for all those drivers with older vehicles and who will have to be restricted in their movements.
