Air pollution transformed into printer ink

contamination

A researcher has just set up an ingenious suction and filtration system thanks to which he manages to extract the soot carbon contamination atmospheric and transform it into printer ink. He says that with a little development, the quality of this ink could rival that produced by other brands on the market.

All users of a printer Inkjet know the exaggerated price of brand cartridges. For this reason, other alternatives have been developed, such as so-called compatible cartridges, at much more affordable prices.

Would it be possible to manufacture the ink transforming the soot from the carbon present in the atmosphere caused by the exhaust pipes and the combustion of hydrocarbons? This idea has been developed by a researcher at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The researcher says there is so much contamination atmospheric around us, especially in crowded cities, wondering if it could be turned into printer ink.

This researcher claims to have had the idea of exploiting the carbon soot after having made some trips to India where he is from. The scientist evokes the air pollution and a rate of carbon particles so high that the simple act of wiping the face with a handkerchief reveals the presence of black particles on the fabric.

Remembering that the ink China is made from the soot of coal, this researcher thinks about transforming these harmful particles into something much more useful. The researcher has thought of a device that aspirates the soot present in the air and extract it and then mix it with alcohol and olive oil. In this way, a black ink is obtained that can be perfectly usable.
