This case allows you to charge an e-reader with solar energy

Booken

Solar energy, if you know how to use how would it be in this prototype, it can allow us not to worry about having to be looking for a plug to connect a device such as an e-reader that allows us to take very good daily readings. All e-readers have to be charged, but there is one that, thanks to a case, you can use it thanks to solar energy you will get.

That sleeve has been created by Booken, who has been working with SunPartner Technologies to develop their Wysips solar panel to launch the Leaf Solar Cover today. This 59 euro case is only compatible with the 8-inch Cybook Ocean e-reader (an ereader that has also been renamed for Carrefour with Nolimbook XL).

This case is characterized by the solar panel developed by Sunpartner Technologies and incorporates its Wysips solar panel technology. Wysips is a transparent material It can be used on the screen of a device to act as a solar panel that captures energy and allows it to continue to function independently and without cables.

This is the way Booken originally planned to use the technology when it was originally announced in 2015, but they finally changed their thinking earlier this year to bring their solar panel in a cover. Plan changes are due to Wysips not working as originally promised.

Sunpartner has been working with this technology for six years and they still had to produce a commercial design with a solar panel that would cover the screen of the device. Instead, Sunpartner has managed to develop a case for the Cybook Ocean e-reader rather than putting a solar panel on the e-reader's screen.

This case can be found on the Bookeen website and one hour of sunlight is enough to charge the e-reader. for 30 minutes of reading, which is not so bad.
