The whole world has 300 gigawatts of photovoltaic solar energy

Across the planet, renewables are taking on more and more importance. In order to quantify the amount of energy that is generated from renewable energies, the International Energy Agency (IEA) has made a balance of the year 2016. This balance calculates the total amount of photovoltaic solar energy that is being produced throughout the world.

One of the results of the balance was that in 2016 75 total gigawatts were added to the global photovoltaic park. Which countries have contributed to obtain the most amount of solar energy to the world?

Among the countries that have added more capacity in the generation of electricity we find Sweden and France. However, although it is nothing new at this point, Spain only added 55 megawatts to its national park in 2016. Up to 16 countries added more than 500 megawatts.

The growth of renewables on a global scale is already being quite significant. It is the first year in which 300 total gigawatts have been exceeded worldwide. In 2016, the total capacity was increased by 75 gigawatts divided into: China (with 34,5), United States (with 14,7), Japan (with 8,6) and India (4). These are the countries that have installed the most renewable energies. Spain has only contributed an increase of 0,05 GW.

The report makes reference that countries such as Japan and Europe in general, have increased their renewable energy capacity less compared to 2015. However, it indicates that the progress of renewables at a global level is in full swing. This is crucial for the future of energy, sustainable development that helps end dependence on fossil fuels and contributes to the fight against climate change.

Too much anticipation in investments can produce a collapse, like that of Zapatero and his subsidies, which has forced the first to spend the money to go bankrupt due to overconfidence and encouraged by the shoe-making subsidies in which either the State or the unwary that they have invested in the shadow shoe, when the technology was not fully mature. Zapateril should be the object of study in the universities, politics and economics, of how things cannot and should not be done, and not throw away a checkbook like the nouveau riche, after all it is socialist, it does not know how to spend or invest, believes that the State solves everything and the State, is inoperative, that State does not exist, it is not omnipotent, the State is what citizens pay with their taxes and that has a limit, the productive capacity, the productivity that the State It does not look with its civil service structure, a bad allocator of resources. And if not, ask renewables and the bankruptcy of the shoe model that does not affect only the left.
