In another post we saw the characteristics and types that exist of ecological houses. These have the ability to reduce the impacts that we generate on the environment from our household activities. Both for the materials with which it is built, for the orientation and for its shape, ecological houses are very efficient.
The first ecological tiny house It will be available in France for the reception of refugees from today. Do you want to know more about this type of ecological houses and what they are for?
Ecological mini house
This ecological mini house that begins to be available as of today is removable and transportable. It was designed two years ago by four architects trained at the University of Alcalá de Henares, together with the Quatorze association. This house is intended to host people who request asylum. Thanks to its design and materials used in it, the impact on the environment that it generates is minimal.
The proposed "In my Backyard" ("In my garden") was the winner of the first honorable mention of the international competition of social architecture "From border to home" (“From the border to home”), which was held in Helsinki in February last year.
This proposal can serve as a solution for all those who request asylum during the period in which they are waiting for the answer. In this way, it is also favored social integration, equality and help in the fight against exclusion.
A sustainable model
Neither the people who welcome others, nor those who are welcomed have to pay absolutely nothing for the tiny house. Installation comes at a price which is around 20.000 euros. Its construction model is sustainable since it uses local raw materials and leads to savings in transport and emissions.
The insulation has been achieved thanks to cardboard, a very efficient material for this result since, being composed of two layers, with a corrugated inner layer, it generates an air chamber.
As you can see, this house is the best option for hosting refugees.
