Survey on the consumption of hygiene and environmental products

A survey was conducted in several countries on personal hygiene products y environment. The objective was to know if consumers considered environmental care as a variable before buying.

Hiygiene Matters conducted the survey and obtained interesting results:

  • 1 in 2 Spaniards chooses to buy hygiene products that have ecological information on its label, 84% consider it important that commonly used products such as toilet paper, soap, among others, do not harm the environment.
  • For 47% of Dutch consumers and 59% of English consumers are concerned about the negative impact on the environment, these figures are one of the lowest of the countries surveyed.
  • For 86% of Italians and 84% of Spaniards, they do take into account the impacts of products on the environment.
  • Chinese consumers are one of the most concerned about the environment as 9 out of 10 are concerned about the effects of hygiene products on the environment. Mexicans are also one of the most concerned about the relationship between consumption of hygiene products and the environmental aspect.

This survey is carried out once a year in countries in different parts of the world for both men and women.

Some of the countries in which citizens were consulted are France, China, Mexico, USA, Italy, Australia, United Kingdom, Sweden, Germany, Norway, Russia, Belgium, Poland, the Czech Republic, Holland, and Spain, among others. .

In general, women are more concerned than men on the environmental issue.

It is positive that people express their interest in environmental problems and the impact that products that are consumed daily can have. Since these data must be taken into account by manufacturing companies to improve their processes and product quality.
