Survey on consumption and electric cars

The consulting firm Deloitte carried out an interesting survey to find out what consumers think about the electric cars and in this way have an overview of the opinions on this issue in different countries.

The consultation was conducted with people in 16 countries, both developed and underdeveloped.

The conclusions are interesting among which the following stand out:

The countries where consumers are most interested in electric cars is China, followed by Argentina, Brazil, Europe, USA, Japan. Which means that most of the people questioned from these nations would be willing to buy a electric car.

The consumer profile that Deloitte managed to establish taking into account the opinion of the respondents is that the majority are people with tertiary or university studies, who are concerned about environmental problems and who live in cities.

For consumers consulted, electric cars are associated with concepts such as Verde y ecological, safe, elegant, practical but also expensive.

The issues that most concern people about electric cars and stop their acquisition are the autonomy of the vehicles, the high cost and the little infrastructure in cities to recharge these cars.

Most of those surveyed agree on the economic incentives to access an electric car, but for many it is still difficult to achieve due to the price of the same.

This kind of research work allows us to know more about the opinions but also the reality in each country on a common theme.

As this survey reflects, a large part of the population of several countries would be willing to buy an electric car and do not do so because of its price, this must be analyzed by the authorities of each city to increase aid.

As well as finding a way to lower production costs more so that vehicles are cheaper and more accessible for millions of people in the world.
