Plastic waste allows the manufacture of biodiesel

El plastic It is one of the most abundant materials and at the same time the most polluting since there are a large number of objects, containers and elements that are manufactured with them.

Much of the plastics end up as waste and are not recycled which is a big mistake since it is possible to reuse plastics to produce cheap fuel and above all cleaner. It is estimated that for every ton of plastic waste to manufacture around 760 liters of diesel.

A process called pyrolysis is used by which almost all kinds of plastics can be recycled.

The pyrolysis process consists of classifying the plastic, placing them in containers in small pieces and in a high temperature oven feeding nitrogen and burning it under vacuum. Then this forms a gas that condenses into liquid form, is filtered and removes the polluting components it has.

There are several companies that make this type of product both in Europe and in the United States.

Among them, Cynar stands out, an undertaking in Ireland that can manufacture 665 liters of plastic with one ton of plastics. Diesel, 190 liters of gasoline and 95 for kerosene.

Extending the manufacture of this synthetic but equally efficient fuel would reduce dependence on oil, which is a major problem for most countries.

So far there is only one single method with some variants to transform plastic into fuel.

Little by little, they are betting on the use of plastic to make fuels, which solves two problems together, on the one hand, that of plastic waste and, on the other, the lack of oil Fossil fuels.

In the coming years, this type of industry will surely develop more around the world.

Plastic is a highly polluting material that causes serious damage to the environment, so you should try to reduce its use and only use the biodegradable.
