Danone uses bioplastic in its yogurts

Dairy company Danone has started to use bioplastic in their yogurt containers, in European countries and some in Latin America.

El ecological plastic I m Green is made from sugar cane and was developed by the Braskem company.

The first products to have these years will be the brand's liquid yogurt and dessert for children.

At the beginning of this year this container began to be used in France and as it had great acceptance by consumers, it will now be extended to Belgium, Brazil among other nations. In Germany it uses another type of ecological plastic in its Danone products.

The bioplastic container is green, this material does not affect the taste of the product or its quality. To distinguish it, it has a stamp on the container with the message I m Green.

Danone is trying to reduce its carbon footprint around 30% in the next few years that is why it is developing different actions.

It is important that companies begin to use bioplastic massively since today there are several formulas and types of alternative plastics to the traditional one that are highly polluting and not very degradable.

El traditional plastic it has generated a huge amount of waste that is difficult to treat and recycle.

Companies must use new technologies in Ecological materials to reduce its impacts on the environment.

Danone is a good example to follow in this regard, since bioplastics are an alternative in packaging for mass products.

Surely seeing this company that customers value the use of this type of less harmful packaging will continue to increase the number of products and will be distributed in other countries.

Leave the plastic based on oil It is a challenge that companies must face today or tomorrow since the use of conventional plastics is not sustainable any longer.
