The society in which we live advances at rates that cannot be sustainable over time. More and more products are being produced on a daily basis and being consumed at high speed. Production requires energy and the efficiency or sustainability of that energy depends on the source. Society has gotten used to recycling and getting used to separating waste. However, a much more direct way of contributing to the sustainability of the planet is energy efficiency. In this article we are going to tell you what energy efficiency is and how important it is for the conservation of the planet. What is energy efficiency Production is the main source of pollution because the energy used for it is not sustainable. In other words, the use of fossil fuels is abused for the generation of energy that will later be used for production or use. We must bear in mind that, if the energy sources are renewable, the pollution will be zero or very low. Today's society is not aware of the amount of energy that is wasted on a daily basis; it measures the origin of this energy. However, there is a growing awareness of the importance of reducing consumption. We pollute our planet too fast a pace and we have passed the carbon footprint in almost every place on the planet. In order to reduce the impact that we generate on natural resources ice ecosystems, we must use energy efficiency. Energy efficiency is defined as the efficient use of energy. In other words, a device will be efficient when its process or installation is lower in energy, they consume a lower than average amount of energy to carry out an activity. A person, service or product that is efficient and that is committed to the environment will not need as much energy to do the same work and to be able to save more energy. In addition, it will try to make the origin of the energy renewable. The main objective of energy efficiency is to protect the environment. To do this, it tries to establish guidelines for reducing energy intensity and CO2 emissions that we send into the atmosphere. One of the most used tools to establish energy efficiency in society is diffusion. The message needs to be spread that energy efficiency is necessary to help protect the environment. In this way, it is achieved that the user can introduce certain habits in their daily life to reduce consumption to what is necessary and no more. Paradigm of energy efficiency Energy efficiency is not something that helps us save energy, after all, pay less on the electricity bill. It is true that this is a great advantage, but it is not the main thing. The main objective is the protection of the environment by reducing greenhouse gas emissions into the atmosphere. Let's not forget that these gases have the capacity to retain heat in the atmosphere. The more gases there are in the atmosphere, the more heat is retained and, therefore, global average temperatures are rising points that will cause irreversible changes in all the natural ecosystems of the planet. With energy efficiency we can reduce emissions since we will spend less energy to carry out an activity. In addition, it is claimed that the energy sources have been renewable. Remember that with renewable energy emissions are zero. Energy efficiency has become a way of taking care of the planet in such a way that, not only are the electrical appliances that consume the least, but we also make us consume less. Advantages and disadvantages It is clear that energy efficiency is not all advantages but also has some problems. The main problem with energy efficiency is that it is still a choice. It is we who decide and establish energy efficiency in our home or work buildings. Currently not all the products we use are efficient. To know if a product is efficient or not, you have to analyze the energy efficiency label. Many appliances are fairly mediocre efficiency. However, its price is lower. When buying appliances we have to consider a lot of variables. Energy efficiency helps us save electricity in the long term while helping to protect the environment. And it is that the electricity bill is drastically reduced if all the electrical appliances that we have in the home have the highest category of energy efficiency. The same goes for lighting. Traditional bulbs versus LED bulbs spend more than double. In addition, they have a much shorter useful life. The efficient appliance alternative is always more expensive than the one that is not. For hours, it can be said that energy efficiency is a matter of environmental awareness rather than a mandatory choice. It must be said that, not only is the higher cost of an efficient product quickly amortized, but it also directly benefits our pocketbook. We remember that the electricity bill will be much lower if we have these appliances. We can also add much more sustainable consumption habits to the use of these appliances. In this way we manage to manage energy in such a way that we will contribute to taking care of our environment. If you want to be more efficient, you should not only buy more efficient appliances, but you should also introduce sustainable habits at home. Main benefits Energy efficiency has these following benefits: • It helps us reduce energy consumption in homes and in companies or public places. • Production costs are lower and the competitiveness of companies improves. • Helps reduce energy dependence on the outside. In Spain, energy dependence is over 80%. • Increases the security of the energy supply. If less power is consumed for the same task, there will be more power available. • Reduces the consumption of natural resources. • The environment is more protected since there is less deterioration of natural resources due to overexploitation. • Reduces the impact of greenhouse gas emissions.

Many times we have to clean the kitchen and we are always afraid to start with one thing: clean the oven. Normally, cleaning products must be used in a strategic way so that we do not get damaged or suffocate with toxic fumes while we wash it. Therefore, you have to know which products to choose from among the millions on the market. In this post, we are going to explain how to clean the oven in an efficient way and to avoid damaging the environment or the structure of the appliance. Suitable cleaning products To clean the oven you have to know how to choose among the thousands of products on the market for it. There are natural alternatives that are just as effective as chemicals and with very good results. The main problem that arises with chemical products is that they tend to irritate the eyes, the mucosa and leave an unpleasant smell not only in the kitchen, but throughout the house. Natural products have been used in the home for a lifetime to clean and today, we are going to use these products to clean the oven. Normally, when we talk about natural products it seems somewhat cumbersome and that it will not work. It is the same with diseases. A medicine made with chemicals is always preferred to using natural remedies that have no proven efficacy. However, in this case, it is proven that these natural products are just as efficient and above all they will not harm the environment or leave a toxic air at home. The kings of natural cleaning are lemon and vinegar. If we accompany these products with bicarbonate, we find a very efficient mixture. The bicarbonate itself is a chemical product but it has a harmless use and it is even usually taken in soft drinks to treat stomach gas and general discomfort. This combination has a pretty good reputation for removing all grease and dirt from the oven. It is a task that should be done more often at home but is always very lazy. Vinegar To clean the oven, vinegar, even if you don't like the smell at all, is a potential ally. It has various antibacterial and disinfectant properties, which is why it is also widely used to clean fruits and vegetables before consuming them. A good option is to prepare a spray with a bottle of water and vinegar mixture. We maintain a ratio of 3 parts of water and only 1 of vinegar. This way, the mixture won't smell bad. You should not worry if it smells like vinegar at first, since it is a smell that goes away quite quickly. This spray is used to spray the walls of the oven. To do this, we will apply it and let it act for a few minutes. Once that time has passed, we will rinse it with water and see the results. If the oven is not too dirty, it will not be necessary to do a deep cleaning. Just do something faster. We can fill the tray with 2 glasses of hot water and 1 of vinegar. We turn the oven to 200 degrees and leave it running for 30 minutes. After that, we will wipe a damp cloth on the oven walls, on the glass, etc. You will see that the steam from the vinegar will be more than enough for all the dirt to come out on its own. Baking soda and mixing with vinegar Baking soda has a myriad of uses in the home. It is a very cheap product that we can find it anywhere. We are going to explain how to clean the oven with baking soda. You will have to spray it directly on the bottom if there are remains of food stuck and spray afterwards with the water and vinegar spray that we have mentioned above. Another more efficient way to use baking soda is to make a paste with baking soda, water, and vinegar. This paste makes it stick better and can be used on the oven walls. You just have to put a bowl with 10 tablespoons of baking soda, 4 of hot water and 3 of vinegar. With this mixture, we will add the vinegar little by little, since it will react giving rise to foam. IF we see that the mixture is too liquid, we will add some more bicarbonate. Next, we will spread the mixture throughout the oven and we will place more emphasis on the areas that are dirtiest or have food remains. We let the mixture work for a few hours. If the dirt is high enough, we will let it act overnight. We do not need to be rubbing, since with this mixture, the dirt comes out practically by itself. If we want to speed up the process because we have little time, we turn on the oven and let it act for a while with the mixture inside. This will make the dirt in the oven peel off more quickly. Yeast This is another product that helps to clean the oven. The dough that we have previously made with baking soda and vinegar can also be made with yeast and vinegar. This mixture is less used, since it uses a high amount of yeast. Baking soda is preferred because it is faster and more effective. However, we are going to explain how to clean the oven with yeast. Simply make a mixture like the previous one where we will add glasses of water and vinegar in the same proportion as before, but with yeast until the mixture is more or less solid like a paste. Salt and lemon If we do not have vinegar in the house, we can use coarse salt. We can also use it if the smell of vinegar bothers us especially. We can substitute vinegar for salt, which is also a disinfectant. It will help us eliminate bad odors, especially if we have prepared fish in the oven. We will only have to leave the oven tray, add salt with the juice of a lemon and the peel and let it act. It is best to use the residual heat after using the oven to make the fish. In this way, you can clean the oven without any unpleasant smell. Steam helps remove dirt easily.
