Biodigesters in the Argentine countryside

La Argentina It is one of the countries with the greatest extension and economic development in the field.

But as in most countries, having large isolated areas far from urban centers, basic services such as basic services are frequently lacking or insufficient. light, gas, electricity and drinking water.

Faced with this situation, for a few decades it has begun to use biodigesters in these rural areas. The use of this simple but effective technology is growing a lot.

It is estimated that throughout Argentina there are more than 50 biodigesters distributed in dairy farms, pig farms, cattle fields and other industrial agricultural enterprises.

The reason why the use of biodigesters is rapidly expanding and multiplying is due to the great advantage that this technology has, which allows to produce gas to heat, generate electricity for family consumption and to supply the needs of agricultural activity as well as for the extraction by means of drinking water pumps and also to use as fertilizers.

The operation is very simple and it is very convenient due to the amount of raw materials that these enterprises generate such as manure, crop residues, etc.

The cost is not high so it is a very profitable option economically and environmentally sustainable.

Since the amount of waste is significantly reduced, the emissions of carbon dioxide y methane generated by animals and natural fertilizers can be used for crops. In addition to not depending on public service systems that are deficient or non-existent in certain areas and complicate economic activities.

These systems are highly developed in rural areas of Germany and Brazil due to the advantages that they have and the benefits that it brings such as electricity, biogas and low-cost fertilizers, which allows us to be more competitive in agricultural activity.

In Argentina the trend of using biodigesters will surely continue to expand.
