Aerothermal price

aerothermal heating system

We are continuously trying to lower costs on air conditioning in our home or in buildings. And it is that being more comfortable in a stable environment has to be cheaper thanks to the advancement of technology. If above this air conditioning comes from renewable energy sources better. Today we are going to focus on how it works aerothermal and what is the price.

Don't you know what aerothermal is yet? Do you want to know the price and how it works? In this article we will tell you everything 🙂

What is aerothermy

The first thing is to know what this type of energy is and how it works. It is a renewable energy source since it does not run out over time and consumes very little electricity. Just we need 1/4 of electricity to take advantage of it. This type of energy is based on taking advantage of the energy that the outside air has to heat our interiors. To do this, a heat pump high efficiency.

The air that circulates through the atmosphere has unlimited and natural energy that can be used to air-condition a room without the need to use Fossil fuels that pollute the environment and increase the electricity bill at the end of the month.

Do not think at all that by extracting the heat from the air that circulates outside we are going to leave it cold and we are going to turn the streets into winter areas. The sun is responsible for heating the air again and for it to continue to circulate freely. For this reason we can say that aerothermal energy is renewable energy as it is practically infinite.

If we use aerothermal for the air conditioning of buildings we can save up to 75% in electricity.

Operation

Now we have to clarify its operation so that there is no confusion. The first thing is what it is used for: it is a normally used energy for air conditioning or air conditioning in a room. This energy, which is extracted from the air outside, is used to heat or cool the air inside the premises.

All this can be done thanks to the heat pump. But it is not just any heat pump, but one of the air-water type system. It is responsible for extracting the heat that is in the outside air and gives it to the water. Through a circuit through which the water circulates, it can provide heat to the heating system to increase the temperature of the room. You can also use hot water for sanitary use as is done with solar thermal energy.

Perhaps you can think that the performance of these devices is not very good, since extracting the heat from the outside air can be quite difficult. However, to our surprise and advantage, heat pumps used in aerothermal energy have a performance and efficiencies approaching 75%. They are ideal for use in winter, even when temperatures are very low and efficiency is hardly lost.

Given its efficiency and technological revolution, aerothermal energy is used to air-condition homes, some premises and smaller buildings like some offices.

Efficiency as a means of sale

Aerothermy

When extracting 75% of the energy in the air and only use 25% of electricity, aerothermal energy becomes a very cheap air conditioning option. In front of natural gas boilers or diesel offer many advantages and has all the potential to become the most used energy for it. And it is that the great advantage it has is that, compared to conventional appliances, it will always offer us three different functions: heat in winter, cooling in summer and hot water throughout the year.

If we start to compare with other energy sources, there is no technology that is capable of covering these three functions in the same way. In addition to all this, they do not generate any type of polluting waste, greenhouse gas emissions, or combustion fumes, etc. In the aerothermal process there is no combustion as in almost all conventional systems.

After some market studies in Spain, taking into account the heating needs by zones, it has been concluded that aerothermal heating systems are capable of heating homes at a minimum price 25% lower than natural gas systems. . Also, if we compare it with diesel boilers, aerothermal is 50% cheaper.

In the long term, it can mean an annual saving of about 125 euros for a Spanish home of about 100 square meters. To highlight these figures, it should be mentioned that the electricity cost of an average home in Spain per year is 990 euros, of which 495 euros are used to cover the different heating costs. Increasing the cost of heating can be increased to 71% in isolated single-family homes in the coldest areas.

How much does aerothermy cost

aerothermal system

Despite the huge savings that this entails, it is one of the cleanest and least known renewable energies by society. Aerothermal fits perfectly with all European decarbonisation policies by 2020, so it becomes a great option to replace other conventional heating methods.

Energy saving is not the only advantage that aerothermal energy offers. It is made up of the indoor unit, an outdoor unit and the water tank where the air transfers its heat. The costs of its maintenance and ownership are practically nil and do not need any periodic revision, as it happens with other heating systems. The equipment costs between 5.800 and 10.000 euros not including installation. The improvement in its performance is causing its commercialization to be spreading at high speed in Spain.

Hopefully, with the arrival of Spain's decarbonization policies, these renewable systems can become more tangible in the heating markets and replace the technologically backward and environmentally damaging conventional ones. Have you heard of aerothermal?
