One of the most efficient houses in the world is built in Ibiza

Highly energy efficient house

La Energy Efficiency It is one of the most innovative techniques that exist in the world of renewable energies. The most efficient houses are those that with less energy perform their functions and satisfy the needs of the tenants. One of the most efficient houses in the world has been presented at the Ibiza in a day of energy efficiency.

During the day, the construction processes and the requirements that are necessary for the house to be considered one of the most efficient on the planet were explained. This house is located in Sant Llorenç in Ibiza and has 210 square meters.

For a house to be considered efficient, it must have its energy efficiency certificate. According to the certifier, Michael Wassouf, the house meets all the characteristics of the Passivhaus certificate, which recognizes energy efficiency, and also does so in the category Premium, which is the most demanding. What stands out about this efficient house is that it is totally disconnected from the electricity grid and does not have a water well. It has a system of 30 solar panels from which it is supplied energetically.

On the other hand, the house also offers some comfortable features such as a photovoltaic system in a pergola where the vehicle can be parked underneath, the electric vehicle can be charged and on top of it it can self-supply water through a rainwater collection and treatment system.

In addition, the house has some advantages in architecture that helps it to be highly optimized, since it is south facing and it has large windows with which in winter they will be able to obtain solar profits. As for thermal insulation, count with 36 centimeters of insulation on the walls, double and triple glazing that does not allow heat or cold to pass through and other more sophisticated features.

The construction company that has carried out the construction of this house is Terravite and it has been built with a single-family, recycled and pressed wood structure, bamboo flooring and totally sustainable materials. A luxury that could be the common home of the future.

How interesting the use of bamboo and wood, natural elements and with multiple structural and energetic characteristics. I wonder how a wooden structure can support the weight of 30 solar panels, it has had to be an important point for the calculation of the roof.
    A greeting.

Well, the truth is that yes, it had to be an important point when building it. But you would have to see what power the panels are because they can vary between 3kg and 30kg. I don't know how powerful the truth is.

      Greetings!

Germán is true, but as you can see in the photo there is like a booth where photovoltaic panels appear. Inside the booth I imagine that there will be the elements for the photovoltaic installation to work (inverters, batteries, charge regulators, etc).
I think that the roof of the house is the one that will support the weight of the thermal solar panels and those if they weigh enough 😀

        Greetings Germán
