The Ministry of Energy, Tourism and Digital Agenda has authorized the photovoltaic installation 'Talasol Polar PV', of 300 megawatts, in the municipality of Talaván (Cáceres).
With an investment of € 331,8 million, it would create more than two thousand jobs during its construction. The Israeli firm Ellomay Capital took over this 300 megawatt project last April.
In the same resolution, the Directorate General for Energy Policy and Mines also authorizes the 400/30 kV substation and the 400/30 kV high voltage overhead line for electric power transmission in the municipalities of Talaván, Santiago del Campo, Hinojal and Casas de Millán.
Thus, according to the Government Delegation, the total occupied area will be 511 hectares. Cristina Herrera, emphasized the steps taken to achieve the extension of the substation, with the objective of establishing the evacuation of the plant, an issue that was not in the draft of this planning. In this way, the 23,7 kilometers long evacuation line will allow to connect with the Cañaveral substation (Talaván), already authorized to Red Eléctrica de España.

With this notification, the project has three of the four requirements to start the project. In fact, the company already has the Declaration of Favorable Environmental Impact, the Prior Administrative Authorization and the Declaration of Public Utility, only pending administrative authorization for its construction, which allows the licensee to carry out the construction of the facility meeting the technical requirements.
The start-up of facilities of this type are subject to the authorization regime established by Law 24/2013, of December 26, on the Electricity Sector and its development provisions. INCOME AND PRODUCTION
Last April, when Ellomay Capital announced the purchase of Talasol Solar, it estimated that in a period of 10 to 15 months the project would be ready for execution. At that time, the plant's annual energy production was estimated at 580 gigawatt hours (GWh) and 25 million euros revenue per year (19 net, after discounting operating and administrative expenses). Regarding the financing of the project, it was highlighted that "the company expects that the necessary capital for the project will be obtained from banks, suppliers, equity or debt financing and potential partners."
This company has some 22,6 MW of photovoltaic projects in Italy and 7,9 MW in Spain. In addition, it has a 9,375% stake in Dorad Energy, which owns and operates one of the largest private power plants of Israel with a production capacity of 850 MW, which represents between 6% and 8% of the total electricity consumption of Israel.
